For family Since 1 years old
8 houses, 8 songs, and a grand journey into the land of dreams and sounds.
Set in a rural area, *Berceuse In Box* draws upon songs collected by instructors from the local conservatory. It celebrates a multitude of children and a wealth
of cultural, familial, and musical heritage. Fostering the bond and the passing-down of traditions between parents and children is a theme close to our hearts; the collection of songs provided fabulous material that we were eager to explore once again.
The boxes, crafted by Fanny following workshops in daycares, transform into a stage set. Hand in hand, music becomes the underlying thread, serving as both the bond and the catalyst for play! Carried along by a joyful stream of sounds from diverse origins, we witness the discovery of a unique universe within each box a child’s world blending reverie and whimsy, effortlessly guiding us on a journey to connect with one another. Nursery rhymes and lullabies represent one of the earliest meaningful exchanges between parents and their children.
Their sounds bring calm, joy, zest, and energy. From rest to laughter, from drifting off to sleep to waking up gently, they form the building blocks and memories we all keep tucked away deep in our minds. Sometimes passed down through generations, sometimes reinvented, they always remain a powerful link that weaves the fabric of the parent-child and family relationship.
The *Histoire de* company was founded by Fanny Farel and Inéa Lambert in 2011. Blending dance, song, and shadow and object theater, the company champions a poetic, humorous style of theater designed for both parents and children. Commissioned by the Pays d'Apt Music Conservatory for a project involving the collection of materials, prop-making, and the creation of a short performance piece for day-care centers—titled "Cultivating Connections through Music"—they are delighted to join forces once again. In doing so, they revisit the shared values that originally united them: the pursuit of a sincere, intimate connection with the audience, transforming every performance into a special moment of encounter and sharing for families.
